ICTLSM KELANTAN

I've got a 2012 A4 with the multitronic CVT and lately it's been making a whining noise when accelerating, plus it feels like it's slipping between gears, which I know is a common issue on these boxes. A local garage quoted me a crazy price for a full rebuild, but I'm hoping it might just need a fluid change and software adaptation. While searching online I decided to click here for auto repair info that mentioned a shop in Abu Dhabi focusing on Audi gearboxes, and I'm wondering if anyone here has actually used them for multitronic problems. Did they manage to fix it without replacing the whole unit, or am I just delaying the inevitable? Really don't want to scrap the car over this, but also don't want to throw good money after bad.
